WHAT IS AN ARPG?
ARPG stands for Art Role Playing Game! Here at Lav✧Labs you will be able to participate in playing by drawing or writing what your character(s) are doing during a prompt provided. By participating in prompts, you can gain in-game currency, EXP for your character(s), and items!
WHAT IS LAV✧LABS?
Lav✧Labs was an upcoming research facility situated near Johto that specialised in Pokemon genetics, research, and modification. Their goal was to be the first facility that could create a Mewtwo clone and have it stable and trainable. Unfortunately for them, their teams were rushed on the project and it ended poorly.
You will now have the opportunity to explore inside the lab's ruins of the secondary branch in hopes of surviving, but it won't be easy... Danger lurks around every corner, from broken machinery, to bio hazards, your characters are at risk as they scavenge for supplies. Not only that, but it seems there's some Experiments left behind still inside the lab, and not all of them are friendly...
WHAT ARE RESEARCH CATEGORIES?
Research Categories cover the 3 areas of research the lab oversaw. Cloning, Variants (Domesticated), and Shiny. Your Experiment must fall into one of these categories. While they could fit into two or all 3, whatever their use was for is the category they will be registered under.
HOW DO I DESIGN A CHARACTER?
Note that we aren't going to restrict stylisation much, but PLEASE have your character recognisable as that Pokemon. If you'd like to draw a quad Pokemon upright, that will be considered a stylisation thing. Gijinkas or humanoids are allowed, as well.

HOW DO I REGISTER A CHARACTER?
For standard Experiments and a step by step on how to fill out the MYO slot, you can follow the 2nd spoiler block on the TUTORIAL page.
For RogonStorages and Outsiders, their forms are here. You will need to use their designated MYO slot items to register them, though the process is largely the same as the above.
WHAT IS A ROGONSTORAGE UNIT?
RogonStorage Units are special characters each player gets at least one to register for free. They are not the same as standard Experiments, a fusion between Porygon and Rotom they function as an in universe explanation for player's Pokemon to store and access items within the PC, as well as retrieve Pokemon from the PC (registering a new Experiment). Players are required to register at least one. They can appear in prompt submissions but cannot gain EXP, or hold items (except TMs and Ability Capsules). If your RogonStorage is shown in a prompt, either featured or in the background, certain prompts will give you bonuses based on the prompt for its appearance.
As of right now, RogonStorages do not get mutations, get graded, nor have traits. However you are free to design the fusion how you see fit, though they cannot come with accessories (manifesting something that can look like one on their form is fine, however~). They can have any variety of colours, too. Their naming system is usually a name that becomes an acronym, such as RogonUnitNull becoming RUN.
Their movesets can be anything a normal Porygon/Rotom can learn, and they can learn any TM regardless of typing. They can also have any ability Experiments can have access to. Evolution items can be used to evolve them, also, simply attach them to your Unit's inventory. Their evolutions are limited to the Trade Orb, so you will need one for each stage (Porygon > Porygon2 > Porygon-Z)
HOW DO I SUBMIT PROMPTS?
You can refer to this page for the list of Prompts. Also includes a spoiler block at the bottom for how to use items.
You can refer to this page for Submission Guidelines.
For a tutorial with images on submitting a prompt to the website, check the PROMPT SUBMISSION AND OUTLINE GUIDE spoiler block.
WHAT IS AND HOW DO I SUBMIT A CLAIM?
A claim is used for a few things on the website, usually for things that cannot be done through Prompts, items, Crafting, etc. They can be filled out by navigating to "SUBMIT" at the top of the website and clicking "SUBMIT CLAIM"
For list of Claims you can make and their forms, check here.
HOW DO I SUBMIT TO THE GALLERY?
Check the spoiler block on this post for the tutorial.
WHAT IF MY SUBMISSION IS A COLLAB?
In the case of a submission being a collab, both collaborators must submit to the prompt the same image(s) they've done together to receive full rewards. However, collabs must be at LEAST a shaded piece with background or 800 words, and both users will have been marked as submitting to the Mission and further plays of it must be done via a Re-Call.
One user will submit the image(s) to the Gallery for approval, and then both users will submit the same URL in their prompt submission.
In the case of a mission requiring it to be a collab, the same submission process will apply.
HOW SHOULD I DESIGN ACCESSORIES OR WEAPONS?
Accessories or Weapons should at least be somewhat believable to have been made with things found within the lab setting, but largely we won't restrict them too much. If you can come up with a reason for how your character obtained the weapon or made it, go for it!
In the case of not having a player accessory or weapon item, and instead you have a held item being used instead, you are free to modify the design from the item's pre-made image, as long as it is recognisable as that item. Such as a black belt being doubled up, having different shaped ends on the fabric, black glasses being a different style of sunglasses, a reaper cloth being used as a cape or scarf, etc.

WHAT COLOURS ARE CLASSED AS ILLEGAL?
WHAT IS A GRADE F AND CAN I MAKE ONE?
Grade F is a special kind of Experiment that has failed in a unique way with specific traits not available to standard Experiments, that aren't colour or marking based. As such it isn't exactly possible to accidentally make one. Currently, user made Grade F's cannot be registered officially for the ARPG, but we won't discourage you from making them at all~
(This section will be updated with more in depth explanation of the specific traits Grade F's possess once they are revealed in the prompts)
