White spotting and patches layered on top of markings.

CHIMERA (STANDARD)

For shiny Pokemon who are Variants or closely related, shininess will present differently.

Shiny Domesticated (Variant) Pokemon are now one solid base colour, their eyes any shade of blue>cyan, and their markings either one or two colours (sometimes even in a gradient, but only the markings). Something about the Variant gene and Shiny gene presenting at once causes the colour choice to go haywire, and as such there is little to no restriction on what colour the Shiny is.

Shiny Variants also have a translucent quality to fur or scale/skin, and appear with a shimmery effect, rather than the glittery effect shinies are known for.

Typical Markings + Shiny Variant

Partial Markings + Shiny Variant

Standard Markings + Piebald Mutation + Shiny Variant

Standard Markings + Chimerism Mutation + Shiny Variant. Note that the shimmery effect isn't present on the non Shiny areas. Because the base grading is visible, the Pokemon can still be graded for colour as a normal Variant would. This example is Grade A (colour) + Chimerism + Shiny.

Here are some examples of NON Variant Shinies with the Piebald and Chimerism mutations.

MELANISM

MELANISM (STANDARD)

Category: MUTATIONS

Melanism is a mutation that causes the Pokemon to appear much darker than normal, although some colour and variantions can be seen, still.

ALBINISM

ALBINISM (STANDARD)

Category: MUTATIONS

Albinism is a mutation that causes the Pokemon to be much lighter in colour, though some variation in saturation can still be seen. Typically their eyes are blue>pink in colouration.

HETEROCHROMIA (STANDARD)

Category: MUTATIONS

Heterochromia is the presence of two differently coloured eyes. The effect of it isn't entirely visible in Variants due to the strong purple gene of the eyes, but subtle shifts are possible. For Chimeras, this mutation is common if the other marking patches cover an eye.

In Outsiders, this mutation is much more noticable.

TIERED IRIS (STANDARD)

Category: MUTATIONS

The iris on the Pokemon is in tiers, with more than just the pupil, iris, and sclera. Can present in many shapes, and is standard on Pokemon like Shuppet, however can appear in other Experiments anyways. Variants with tiered irises will have the iris colour affect their grade. The portion surrounding the pupil MUST still be purple or it'll be an automatic fail.

Grade B due to pink in eye.
